“When I see the parade now - the mardi gras, the floats and everybody is partying, and there’s all these commercial floats and advertising,” Shumsky explained, “it’s a little bit upsetting and a little bit sickening that we have lost that feeling of that first march that was just incredible - that we were out of the closets and into the streets. How do we feel about the Gay Pride Parade route being changed Even though going down Christopher Street was always difficult because it's so narrow, it helped that the parade could go all the way out to the River where there was more room. Where Does The Pride Parade Take Place With over 5 million people watching in Manhattan alone, the largest celebration of Pride in history took place during Stonewall 50 WorldPride NYC 2019, coordinated by Heritage of Pride and created by Heritage of Pride commemorating a 50th anniversary. The Pride Parade is scheduled for November 3, and will kick off at 10am from Palm Canyon Drive. The theme for 2019 will be Millions of Moments of Pride. Happy Pride In 2019, Palm Springs Pride will take place over three days, from November 1-3.
